watched 2 movies over the weekend..
"I Love Huckabees" and "The Choir"
actually 3 la..watched Charlie and Chocolate Factory on friday..after being at the esplanade library for corrinne may's talk..where she went 3 songs live..
actually didnt really get "I Love Huckabees"..probably wasnt in the right frame of mind to watch it when the adrenaline was still pumping from my training..haha..main character went to existential detectives to find out the link between some of the coincidences in his life..and there was a lot interesting theories and quotes put up..it's the kind of movie that takes a couple of views to figure it out..prob might wanna watch it when more in a this movie kinda mood..there was one scene though..where mark wahlberg and the male lead smacked themselves on the face with a pontoon..and they were just saying...
"wow..the pain blocks out everything else..we should do it more often.."
hmmm..
'The Choir" itself was pretty nice..this one's about a french kinda like boy's home..fairly predictable plot la..but it's the kinda european fare that the filmwork that's impressive and the story-telling that's different from the American propoganda everyday..haha...
back to camp..finally back to a familiar kind of training routine after last week's up and down from the stupid national day carnival..
